Me writing like John Steinbeck

It was a hot steamy summer morning Lennie and George were up early walking around the old raged town looking for work. When all of a sudden Lennie sees a huge white fully bunny hopping across the red unpaved road. It caught his attention right away as it was hopping across the road. Lennie chased the rabbit in to the thick lush green, gree grass. With every step Lennie took the ground seemed to shake. He yell George a baby rabbit, ima get this one Gorge. Lennie pounced on the poor little fully rabbit and said I got it George. Lennie tied a shoe string around the rabbits neck and dragged him out like a comb tangled in a woman’s hair

John Steinbeck Of Mice and Men

Excerpts from Of Mice and Men

"...willows fresh and green with every spring, carrying in their lower leaf junctures the debris of the winter's flooding: and sycamores with mottled, white, recumbent limbs and branches that arch over the pool"

"...and the damp flats are covered with the night tracks of 'coons..."

"...beaten hard by tramps who come wearily down from the highway in the evening...

"A stilted heron labored up into the air and pounded down river"

"They had walked in single file down the path..."

"George unslung his bindle and dropped it gently on the bank"

"George stared morosely at the water"

"A water snake slipped along on the pool, its head held up like a little periscope"

John Ernst Steinbeck, was a great American writer. He was known for the Prize-winning novel The Grapes of Wrath and East of Eden and the novel Of Mice and Men. He is the author twenty-seven books, including sixteen novels, six non-fiction books and five short stories, Steinbeck received the Nobel Prize for Literature in 1962. I like Steinbeck is mainly because he uses imagery like no other author that I know of. The descriptive words he uses make it seem like you are right there where all the action is taking place.

A rapper who influenced me is Tupac Shakur because his legacy reaches far beyond the walls of the Hip-Hop culture. Known by his realism, may cause you to love him, to fear him, or even both. I think he has inspired me to do anything I put my mind to because like him I did not grow up with a with a silver spoon. I have not always live in the best part of town. My parent were never rich they have always worked for what they want. His main goal, to get the world’s attention on subject matter he felt was valid, was always accomplished. His lyrics are a perfect example of this. Tupac made you feel as though he was right there in the struggle with you, fighting the fight. These is why I can relate to him, and understand his music, which for him, was not a cry for help, as much as it was a call to arms

Snap Backs

A new trendy piece of clothing in the world is the Snapback. Snapback hats have developed a style following in the world of sportswear apparel. A fitted cap is great, but there’s just something special about a classic hat like this. Gotta love the snapback hats of the previous decades. You can’t deny the freshness of these old school team logos and colors, contrast color brim and eyelets, green under-brim. One size fits all.Structured crown. What’s not to love about.
As the popularity of the fitted cap grew, less of the sportwear audience bought into snapback hats and instead leaned towards fitted cap. Recently though, the snapback hat has made a return to the sportswear scene, and I’m seeing longevity as more and more streetwear brands are begining to feed the consumers demand for these classic hats.
